"The tomatillo husk is commonly used for treating sore throats and coughs. This home remedy is used by all ages." The article's description of how-to-make is different from our Chinese procedure and not detail enough to answer some of my questions.
The article's way is "Seven tomatillo husks are boiled in one cup of water for approximately eight minutes. After it’s cooled, the husks are strained from the water. People then gargle with the water three times a day for five consecutive days."
My way is you would harvest tomatillo when its husk is golden brown and then sun-dried them. Lastly, you would brew them like tea with hot water. I remember the drink being very bitter but effective.
