This looks great. It reminds me of a classmate's homemade meatballs in class for a cultural thing
Ingredients for 4 large portions:
For the meatballs:
2 tbsp butter
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/3 cup plain bread crumbs
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
pinch of cayenne
1 pound ground chuck
1 pound ground pork
*Note: you can always cook a little piece to taste for salt, and adjust from there.
Brown meatballs in 425 degrees F. oven for about 20-25 minutes.
For the sauce:
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 1/4 cups beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Marbled Red Vinasse Eggs 紅糟蛋
The picture are so astonishing, spider-web like. In modern Chinese culture if I remember correctly buy or make red-dye eggs to give it as a gift to people who celebrate a child's first birthday and for weddings.
