Choosing an Avocado and Cutting it

Picture and Information from: http://rasamalaysia.com/super-baby-food-avocado/

Well I didn't know how to choose which avocado it good and ready. Avocado have such a pleasing color to look at.
To choose avocado, always look for the ones with dark green skin that is soft with no indent, which indicates the ripeness of the avocado.

How to Open an Avocado:
Cut the avocado in half, lengthwise or widthwise around the seed. Cut deep until the knife touches the seed. Twist and pull the two halves apart. To remove the seed, stick the lower end of the knife into the seed. Twist the knife and the seed will pop out.
UPDATE 3.20.13:
This website also helps avocadocentral.com, on how to pick and buy avocado. It also has interesting facts and a comparison table of the different ripening stages which I though was helpful.
